Growth Happens When You Start
You Only Need To Know Enough To Start.
I have a quote that I read frequently. It fuels me to keep going.
“Stop telling yourself you’re not qualified, good enough or worthy.
Growth happens when you start doing the things you’re not qualified to do.”
(I don’t remember where I got it from or who wrote it. If you know let me know so I can credit them)
Those two lines are my reminder that I can do it. I can learn new skills. I can change my life by putting the effort in to learn the new skills I need and by improving the skills I want to continue to have.
Taking a risk, learning a skill, moving, upgrading your abilities, starting a new job/position is like an itchy wool sweater. You know it will keep you warm but it’s not comfortable. One part of you knows the change is going to be worth it while the other half is scared. There are many unknowns and tasks and processes of every size to learn. It is overwhelming.
But as you start it gets easier. As you learn your capacity to do bigger projects with more responsibility increases.
