Recently I have been thinking a lot about what I want my future to look like.

I am still working it out. I am going deep as I can on how I want my life to feel like, sound like, and what I want in it.

One part I know for sure is I do not want to keep repeating the pattern of the last 10-years.

Ten years of applying to jobs worthy of my degrees and nothing. Ten years of listening to advice from others and never actually getting what I want in my life.

I want a income I can be proud of. I want a career where I know I can solve problems for others. I want a family full of laughter and supportive of our passions to the level we choose to go to.

I want a life that is full of life.

Do something for your future self everyday is a piece of advice I picked up from a podcast in January. It has stuck with me since.

It’s so simple it is difficult to do. Just like making your bed and drinking water. It’s hard because the rewards are not instant. They are a week, month or years away. Stay committed and rewards will come.

Keep the promises to yourself and get something done each day for you.

As I’ve been working through what I what I am going to do to break the pattern of my last decade, what my future self needs has been surfacing a lot.

Do one thing

Everyday

For my

Future self.

Me in …

… 1-week needs me to take my car into a windshield shop to start the process of getting it fixed. Me in a week also needs me to write this post.

… 1-month needs me to focus on planning my goals and posting items for sale on marketplace websites so I can get space to start new projects.

… several months needs me to start taking steps towards my side-income now so I can have enough stock for Christmas 2023.

… 6-months needs me to be to stay open to say yes to new opportunities.
