It’s probably overdue…

How do you know when it is time to make changes in your life.

The answer is simple. You already know it is time and it is probably overdue.

There likely has been something nagging you. You know despite the risk that comes with it you need to do it.

You know you need something new. You know you need to change. Something needs to change. Not tomorrow. Today.

Does that change need to be drastic? Probably not. But everyone’s definition of drastic is different.

Just be cautious of spur of the moment choices. Most big sudden drastic changes do not end well because they are not planned well. But with planning, you can make the big drastic change successfully.

Before you even start to plan you need to know what you have to change.

1. Define which deck you need to be cleared.

For some people, a drastic change could be a career change, a big move, or it could be simple as cleaning up their life or eating healthier.

No matter where you are in your life do not judge what you need to change against someone else.

Their big change can be a move. Yours can be what mine is right now — decluttering your spaces.

2. Figure out why you need that change.

Why do I need to declutter my spaces?

So I have fewer distractions.

I am right now at the starting line of the next chapter in my life. Which could be my defining chapter.

I have a lot to learn. I have a list of things I know I know, things I know I don’t know, and an unwritten list of the unknown unknowns.

What am I doing that I need to eliminate as many distractions as possible? I am working out if and how I can build a brewery and distilling business without outside investment.

That’s it.

Step one for me is to pack up all of my notes, books, and everything that I have piled on my desk.

There are only four books I am allowing myself to keep out: Russell Brunson’s Expert Secrets, Dotcom Secrets, and Traffic Secrets, and Brendon Burchard’s High Performance Habits.

Everything else is being packed up. I’m packing it up because if I take the time to try to sort it right now, I will not get it cleaned up.

3. No More Waiting For The Perfect Moment To Go After What You Want.

Only you can make the changes you want to make.

Even if no one is supporting you right now. Do something. Get started. Eventually, they might join in.

No one is going to come to rescue you. If you want help. Then you need to earn it. Start working on what you need to learn. Start showing up.

So what is your deck that you need to clear so you can start making the change you need to make?
