Stop stopping yourself from what you know you need to do.

There’s every excuse to stop.

Especially when you are going to do something that will create real change in your life. Maybe not instantly but in a period of time if you did what you need to do you’d gain your goal faster.

For me right now. I know I need to start a side income so I can afford to buy a new (new to me) vehicle.

I am also currently kicking myself because if I had of seriously started working on writing consistently, I would likely already have the income to get the new vehicle.

Instead I am here taking actions now towards building a side income for my new vehicle.

That side income is not going to be my writing. My writing income is going to go towards another paying another bill as soon as it is high enough to do so.

It is not going to be easy or fast. I need it. I need to change my habits and routines for me to earn a better income. I have the time. I need to manage and focus my time better.

YOU

are

your

biggest

obstacle.

How many times have you stopped or not even started something because of a lie you told yourself.

You know the lies

… I will do it later

… I don’t have time

… I can’t

… fill-in-the-blank is more important

Or the best one “I’m going to fail so why bother”

How many time have you stopped or not even started because you’re worried (or embarrassed) about what others would say or how they would react? You will not even allow yourself to start because of how you think they will react.

You are the obstacle that keeps stopping you. Why not start trying different ways to stop stopping yourself. What works for someone else who follow on social media may work for you. You have to try it long enough to see if it does.

One common theme for change and starting something new is commitment. Commit somehow even if in small ways that will build up.

Set the budget. Commit to not turning on the TV (or whatever it is that distracts you) until a set time later in the evening. Change for you. Find new small habits that will support who you want to be and what you want to be known for.

Get out of your own way.

It will not be easy. It will not be simple. Your commitment will be tested everyday.

You are your biggest obstacle.

Your obstacle is not them. Not your bank account. Not your connections. It is you.

You can earn the income if you are willing to put the time and effort in.

You can achieve your dream if you are willing to put the time and effort in.

When are you going to shove yourself out of your own way?
